"Ram Katha in Urdu – Imam-e-Hind: Ram

For the first time in history, Ram Katha will be staged in Urdu. The play Imam-e-Hind: Ram, written by Dr. Mohammad Aleem, was announced to be staged in hundred cities of the country at the Constitution Club in New Delhi. On Sunday, September 1, 2019, the book Imam-e-Hind: Ram (Drama) was released. The announcement of the book release and the staging of the play was made at an interactive program organized by the Adabi Cocktail and Dialogue Initiative Foundation under the joint auspices of Indira Gandhi National Tribal University.

On this occasion, a dialogue based on the theme "Imam-e-Hind: Ram – Everyone's Ram" was organized. Speaking as the keynote speaker at the interaction, former Union Minister, eminent thinker Shri Arif Mohammad Khan said that culture is not about faith, culture is about environment, climate, civilization and surrounding geographical conditions. Kabir's Ram was in every moment, Valmiki's Ram was Maryada Purushottam Ram. They are all tied by a string. We have to strengthen this thread.
Speaking candidly, Mr. Arif Mohammad Khan said, "When God burned the soul in human effigies, it was not only the body of Muslims but of all human beings. ” The play based on Valmiki's Ramayana, presented in collaboration with the Adabi Cocktail and Dialogue Initiative Foundation, is a first-of-its-kind effort. Ram Katha has not been seen anywhere in the form of a play in the Urdu language before. Ram is ingrained in the people of India. Whether you consider him as God, or his incarnation or see him as the King Maryada Purushottam Ram of Ayodhya, Ram is the center of faith, faith and faith of crores of people of India. You can't separate Ram from the soil of India. Ram is an integral part of our culture.
The Vice Chancellor of Indira Gandhi National Tribal University, Prof. Speaking on the occasion, T.V. Kattimani said, "People question whether the tribals are Hindus or not, so I want to say that the words Ram, Laxman and Sita are present in all tribal languages. ” Eminent thinker and former MP Dr. Mahesh Chandra Sharma, in his presidential speech, praised this effort and said that it is not right to ask which religion Ram belongs to. Rama is in every particle here, in every person. Rama belongs to everyone. And that is why efforts like Imam-e-Hind should continue.
Special commentator on Imam-e-Hind: Ram Natak Prof. Bismillah said that Ramlila is performed in at least fourteen countries of the world, so the play Imam-e-Hind written by Dr. Aleem should be staged not only in India but all over the world. The play's writer, Dr. Aleem, also read a part of its Bharat Milap episode. Dr. Rakesh, Founder Trustee of Dialogue Initiative Foundation, while presiding over the dialogue program, said that Maryada Purushottam Ram has always been acceptable as an ideal despite the diversity of caste, religion and region on the holy land of India. The famous poet Allama Iqbal's poem is a powerful example of this in which he addresses Rama as Imam-e-Hind.
